DELTA Weightlifting is different from any other gym in the Sacramento area. We feature ONLY Olympic weightlifting and barbell training with an unmatched teaching and learning environment.

Strength. Power. Community. These represent the three tenets of the gym that we strive to develop daily.

Our approach is simple: we get our athletes moving through proper ranges of motion, then teach and develop efficient lifting technique, and finally, get them strong and powerful!

We work with all age groups and abilities, ranging from kids to adults and beginners to high-level athletes.

Learn more about what we offer.

Movement

If athletes display difficulty moving through certain ranges of motion, i.e. poor mobility, we work to improve those areas first before anything else.  Weightlifting is not only a demonstration of the body’s ability to display strength and power, it is also a demonstration of the body’s ability to display movement through proper ranges of motion.

Position

Technique, technique, technique.  Weightlifting is a skill, and skills must be developed over time.  Being able to get in the right positions when lifting a barbell will allow you to better maximize your potential.  You have to EARN the right to lift heavy, and improving your positions is the path with which you get there.

Intensity

We define intensity as the weight on the bar.  If this is your first priority, DELTA Weightlifting is NOT the gym for you.  Poor movement and poor position is a recipe for disaster.  Approaching training with a long term view will set you up for more long term success.  The intensity will come, but only after movement and positions are correctly established!
